What Is Legal Operations
INTRODUCTION
Sacha Kirk
Sacha is Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer of Lawcadia, a legal technology leader, speaker, podcast host and industry commentator focused on the future of legal operations, innovation and transformation.

As a Co-Founder of Lawcadia, Sacha has spent more than a decade exploring how technology, improved processes, and new ways of thinking can transform the way corporate and government legal teams operate. She has played a central role in developing Lawcadia’s strategy, product direction and approach to solving the complex operational challenges experienced by in-house legal functions.

Her work sits at the intersection of strategy, technology, design thinking and human behaviour. With postgraduate qualifications in Marketing and Counselling, Sacha brings an interdisciplinary and person-centred perspective to legal innovation, recognising that successful transformation depends as much on people, processes and adoption as it does on technology.

Sacha is particularly interested in how legal teams can move beyond fragmented systems, manual administration and inbox-driven processes to create more connected, governed and intelligent ways of working. Her focus is on practical transformation, including the use of AI, to improve visibility, strengthens control, support better decision-making and enable legal teams to demonstrate their contribution to the wider organisation.

A strong advocate for the evolution of the legal profession, Sacha regularly contributes to conversations about legal operations, legal technology, artificial intelligence, innovation, change management and the future of in-house legal services.

She brings a pragmatic perspective to these discussions, challenging the idea that transformation is simply about introducing more technology. Instead, she endorses a considered approach that starts with understanding the problem, designing better ways of working and then applying technology where it has the ability to create meaningful and sustainable value.

Sacha is also a passionate supporter of women in leadership and greater diversity of thought within the legal and technology sectors.
