With over 100 attendees, including in-house legal and procurement professionals from ASX 20 and 100 organisations, state and federal government agencies and representatives from leading law firms, this year’s Legal Procurement Conference APAC was a resounding success.
Held at KPMG’s beautiful Sydney offices on 24 July, highlights included:
- Keynote speaker Claire Bibby’s take on where the legal profession is headed, how millennials are changing the game and why lawyers don’t need to be frightened of automation
- Real world discussions about digital transformation and the challenges and triumphs encountered along the way (special thanks to Dion Gooderham, our legal procurement panellists and Petra Stirling and Nicola Murphy from the Westpac Group)
- International perspectives from Tim Corcoran and Neil Sahota
- The design workshop facilitated by Lawcadia CEO Warwick Walsh and highly regarded corporate innovator Monica Bradley
Along with comments like ‘Who knew legal procurement could be so exciting?!’, we’ve been thrilled with the feedback received so far. Besides the breadth of topics, attendees were impressed with the open nature of the event and left with some fantastic insights into the changing nature of legal procurement.
“In particular I was impressed with the honesty and collaborative approach by all and the calibre of presentations, it was well worthwhile.” Law firm attendee
“I had a great time at the event! I would definitely recommend it to my other procurement colleagues. Please keep me informed of any future events surrounding legal procurement so that I can attend.” Government attendee
“You know it’s a strong event when the vast majority of people stay until 5:00!” In-house attendee
We’d like to extend our thanks to this year’s attendees for your enthusiasm for this annual event and express our gratitude to our fantastic speakers and panel and workshop facilitators. Without your continued participation we would not have experienced such steady growth year on year – we look forward to another thought-provoking and insightful event in 2019!
